Astrophysical Fluid Dynamics Group Cluster
The Astrophysical Fluid Dynamics Group (AFD Group) is a part of the Center for Theoretical Astrophysics in the Departments of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. We are dedicated to the study of problems in astrophysics requiring numerical modelling where we often employ parallel computing. Headed by Professor Charles Gammie, the AFD group consists of postdocs and graduate students. Graduate student Jonathan McKinney designed and built the beowulf cluster in Fall 2002.
